Embossing

Embossing produces a 3D raised image by pressing paper between two heated dies. Embossing changes the paper and you can see the impressions on both sides of the paper.

Choose between blind, foil, or ink embossing. Blind embossing is when no ink or foil is used and the embossing image is the color of the paper. Foil or ink can also be added to the embossed area.

Blend embossing elements with foil stamping, thermography, and/or flat printing.

Second side printing with flat inks is available in the area not embossed.

Use Wes-Tex standard inks or PANTONE® inks.

  1. Emboss fonts and lines greater than 1 point thick.

  2. Select light colored stocks for embossing. We suggest white, cream, and gray card stocks to best showcase embossing. (Our personal favorite stock to emboss is White Glaskote.)

  3. Not sure what to emboss? We suggest company logos, lines, borders and bold text for the most impact.
