UV Coating
UV Coating is applied to the foil (coated) side of all Full Color+Foil business cards printed on 12pt C1S and both sides of 16pt C2S.
If you prefer your order without UV Coating, choose Raglan or 110# White Classic Crest. UV coating cannot be applied to these two stocks.

Document: 600 dpi (minimum)
Embedded Graphics: 600 dpi (minimum)

Recommended color space is CMYK.
Fonts
All fonts must be embedded or converted to curves, paths, or outlines.
Typesizes smaller than 8 point are not recommended for foil stamping. Small Scripts and fonts with fine lines will tend to lose detail.
Preferred: PDF that supports layers
For best results:
• Use one of these programs to create your order:
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or QuarkXpress
• Embed or convert all fonts to outlines, curves, or paths.
• Export, save, or print to PDF file.
We require a PDF that supports layers to produce Full Color+Foil. File type is limited to PDF, PS or EPS to maintain the integrity of the file, registration, and quality. (EPS and PS files are converted to PDF during the upload process and usually offer satisfactory results.)
File Specifications for foil portion on full color
• Prepare an artwork file with a separate layer for the foiled area.
• Create & place a separate solid piece in the file as an overprint for the foil piece (preferably 100% black.) No knock-outs.
• Indicate the piece to foil stamp in the additional instructions of the upload process.
(Note: foil dimensions are limited to approximately ¾” on solid foil pieces for quality purposes. Refer to Full Color+Foil Guidelines for more information.

Second Side Printing:
Foil stamping must be applied to the coated side of C1S. One side only of C2S, Raglan and 110# White Classic Crest can be foil stamped. Submit your file with the Full Color+Foil side as page 1.
Vertical Cards:
Vertical layouts must be rotated to landscape format in the native program before they are saved/converted to PDF, PS or EPS. If they are not, copy may be cropped off.
