Full color upload files pass through preflight software to make
sure your files are ready for printing.
For this reason, email, disk, fax or mail orders are not accepted

When ink covers a card all the way to the edge it is called a bleed. In order to print bleeds, your layout should be sized to the bleed size. (3.625 in. x 2.125 in. for a standard business card) We need room to trim the card so the layout is positioned correctly and the ink covers the desired area. Keep in mind that everything outside of the final cut size (3.5 in. x 2 in. for standard business cards) will be trimmed off. Always submit your orders 1-up, at either standard card size or at bleed size when your design includes a bleed.
If your art does not bleed, make sure it does not extend too far toward the edge of the card. If art is close to the edge, it is very difficult to position correctly. Allow at least 1/16 of an inch on all sides when art does not bleed.
Resolution
Document: 600 dpi (minimum)
Embedded Graphics: 600 dpi (minimum)
Please send high-resolution art every time you submit an order.
Any art we receive at less than 300dpi will not print cleanly. When
you
examine your art before sending it, zoom in to the image and pay careful
attention to the edges of the art and the sharpness of it: if it looks
rough, it will print that way.
CMYK/RGB
Recommended color space is CMYK; however, we will accept RGB.
RGB and CMYK are the two primary color formats available in most graphics programs. RGB, which stands for Red, Green and Blue, is the format of scanned and digital color images, and it is the way computers display images. CMYK, which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, represents the four colors presses use to create full-color printing; all color files must be converted to CMYK format at some point in order to print. The best way for you to get the printed colors you desire is to convert all of your images to CMYK before you submit them.
When RGB images are changed to CMYK, as they must be before printing, variations in color can occur. That’s why it is always best to save your images in CMYK format. For one thing, CMYK values are very specific, whereas RGB values are not. When you use CMYK, you are better able to see your art like the people handling your order will see it, and you have more control over how the final product will look.
Spot/Pantone® colors are simulated on our press. See the Pantone® Swatch Book to see how well your specific color will be replicated.
Because of variations in humidity, substrate, devices (monitors, presses) colors may not always match what you see on your monitor. If you need to match a color exactly, please request a Press Proof to ensure that you recieve your desired color. If the Press Proof does not match the color you want, you will need to adjust your file accordingly.
ICC Profiles:
Wes-Tex does not use ICC profiles when preparing artwork to print.
All files are prepared using standard color conversion.
If you need to match a color exactly please request a Press
Proof.

Setting Up My File
For dimensions, resolution, fonts, and color space see other areas
of this page.
Back side printing:
If your program supports multiple pages make the first page the FRONT and the
second page the BACK.
Multiple Units:
Please create a seperate file for each card/unit in an order. If the
order contains a back side it will need to be included as the second
page in each file. If your program doesn't support pages, just send
the back side copy as a single file and indicate the file name in
your additional instructions.
Vertical Cards:
Vertical layouts must be rotated to a landscape format in the native
program before they are saved/converted to a preferred format.
If they are not, copy may be cropped off.
