Wes-Tex prefers Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), Postscript, PDF, and printer files. We also accept PC and MAC files created in CorelDRAW®, Adobe Illustrator®, Pagemaker®, QuarkXPress®, Freehand®, Photoshop®, and InDesign®. We do not recommend Publisher® files, which frequently fail to hold fonts and distort art, and we do not accept files created in programs not listed here. Please embed all fonts and separate colors when sending EPS, Postscript and PDF files. You may contact the Electronic Ordering department for additional instructions when sending your files.
Please follow this checklist when submitting orders:

More detailed information is available in the next section of our requirements.
Thank you for placing your orders with Wes-Tex!
- All raster graphics should be saved in EPS or TIFF format at 600 dpi for line art and text and 300 dpi for photographs.
- Templates for Business Cards, Business Cards with Bleeds, Letterheads, Envelopes, and Foldover Cards are available on our website (www.wes-tex.com). These templates are provided as generic eps files as well as other formats for various software programs. The eps files can be used with any program that can open or import an eps file.
- A white, non-printing .003 pt. rule is provided in each template as a bounding box. This box represents the exact size of the finished printed product. The box also defines the exact position your image will occupy on the finished product. Do not place order information or special instructions outside the printing area. Place all special instructions in the body of your email cover letter.
- Make sure all colors in your order are defined using the Pantone® Spot Color Palette. This will speed production of your order, as email orders containing CMYK, RGB, Indexed Color etc. require extensive alterations and may cause delays of your job. Please indicate screen values used, when applicable, on all graphics in your document.
- NOTE: Customers using Quark for the MAC---If you are creating postscript files or are saving a page as an eps file, you should open the file in Adobe Illustrator®, or like program, and "create outlines" of all text. Otherwise, please send all fonts used in creating your job- including suitcase and postscript files for Mac fonts. Also include all graphics used.
- When using a drawing program such as CorelDRAW®, Macromedia FreeHand® or Adobe Illustrator®, it is always best to convert your type to curves, paths or outlines before saving the file. Using this technique is easier than sending fonts with your order and does not create as many problems with output.
- Place all files including fonts and/or supporting graphic files in a folder and name the folder with the mainline of the job. The mainline is generally considered to be the name of the company. Each job file in the folder should be given the name of the person or company the order is for. In the case of two or more orders, files for the different mainlines should be placed in different folders along with their respective supporting files. Support files include logos, fonts, and graphics used in the file.
- Compress the folder using Drop Stuff (Mac) or WinZip (PC). These shareware programs are available from the following web sites: www.aladdinsys.com and www.winzip.com . You can also find links to these sites at www.wes-tex.com. If you download these programs, please read the licensing agreement and support the shareware. You may also want to refer to our site: www.wes-tex.com for assistance on converting, creating and sending files out of their native formats. Compression prevents your files from being corrupted during transfer.
- For email orders, include complete order information in the body of the email and attach the file(s).
- Always remember to fax a printout of your file when ordering via email. After you create your file and save it as you want it to look, print a copy and fax us that proof. That way, we can make sure our output matches yours.
