FAQs
Q. What print process combinations are available on a business card?
Thermography, flat printing, foil stamping and/or embossing in various pairs and combinations. Some limitations due to stocks and inks will restrict combinations.
Full color is available with foil stamping and/or UV coating.
Q. What are my shipping choices?
Our standard shipping method is UPS ground. If you'd prefer another carrier, please call us to learn more.
Q. Is close registration available on Full Color + Foil business cards?
Full Color-to-Foil: Close registration of Full Color-to-Foil is not available. Multiple points of registration and designs that do not allow for movement are not offered. Allow a minimum of .03125" (1/32") between the full color and foil designs.
Foil-to-Foil: Close registration of Foil-to-Foil is available at no additional charge.
Q. I need help with my artwork file. What should I do?
Visit our Artwork Guidelines section for instructions on preparing your file. You can also call us at 800.346.0515 and one of our order specialists will assist you.
Q. Why is it important to scan images at the correct finished size?
Resolution and image quality are poor if an image is scanned at its original size and then enlarged in your graphics program. Scan the image at greater than 100% to match the intended final size. For example, if the original image is an inch wide and it needs to be three inches, scan at 300%. It's always better to scan too large than to scan too small. An image can be reduced with no loss in quality, but quality will be lost when enlarging a scan.
Q. What types of files do you accept?
We accept PDF or EPS files from Adobe® InDesign®, Illustrator®, Photoshop®; CorelDRAW®; or QuarkXPress®.
Q. Do I need to embed fonts?
Yes, embed or convert all fonts to outlines, curves, or paths.
Q. What is a bleed?
A bleed occurs when the printed image extends off one or more edges of the card.
Q. What CMYK values do you suggest for rich black, Reflex Blue, and flag blue?
Rich Black: C=60% M=40% Y=40% K=100%
Reflex Blue: C=100% M=80% Y=17% K=20%
Flag Blue: C=100% M=72.2% Y=0% K=5.9%
Q. How do we get all our employees’ contact information into PrintKeeper?
Once your company is set up in PrintKeeper, we can help you bulk upload your employee contact information into your PrintKeeper site.
Q. Do I have to send you our current business card to get a quote?
No, but it helps to see the actual card to recommend the best printing options. Call us and we’ll work with you to get you pricing.

Q. How do I send you my artwork for PrintKeeper?
You can email us your artwork once we have set up your corporate account.

Q. How do I qualify as a corporate account?
All corporate accounts use our PrintKeeper solution. PrintKeeper works best for companies that order a large amount of business cards and stationery. Call our PrintKeeper team at 800.346.0515 to learn if PrintKeeper is the right solution for your business.
Q. Will you send me a proof of my order before printing it?
Upon request, we can send you a proof, online or by fax, for an additional charge.
Q. If I place multiple orders today, will they be shipped together?
To save on shipping costs, we will attempt to ship together any orders that reach our shipping department on the same day. If you have a question about multiple orders being shipped together, please call us.
Q. Do I have to pay for shipping?
Yes, we do not build shipping costs into our pricing.
Q. Do you blind ship?
Yes, we can drop-ship your order directly to your customer for an additional fee. The shipping label and packaging will only display your company name and information.
Q. What are my options for placing an order?
You can upload new orders or place reorders with your online account. You can also email, fax, mail or place phone reorders. Q. Do you offer retail pricing I can show my customers?
Yes, our product catalog includes retail pricing sheets. You can also download and print retail pricing in your online account once you’ve signed up as a reseller.
Q. What’s PrintKeeper? How would I use it for my business?
PrintKeeper is an online order management tool for your corporate accounts. We’ll help you get your corporate accounts set up in PrintKeeper and you’ll still maintain control of your accounts. If you’d like a demo of the site, call us at 800.346.0515.

Q. Do you offer recycled stocks?
Yes, we offer 11 business card stocks and 8 stationery stocks with recycled content. See samples of our recycled stocks.
Q. Do you offer graphic design services?
We offer minor art services. Talk to one of our customer service representatives to learn more about our artwork services.
Q. Are my letterhead and envelopes safe to print through my copier or laser printer?
Yes, all our letterhead and envelope printing processes are safe to print on again with your copier or laser printer.
Q. What print processes are available on letterhead and envelopes?
We offer LaserProof Thermography or Flat Printing, and/or Foil Stamping.
Q. Where is your printing facility?
Our manufacturing plant is located in Brownwood, Texas. We welcome all our customers to come visit our plant. If you’d like a tour, please call our customer service team at 800.346.0515.
Q. What is your return policy?
We’ll refund or reprint any order that you’re not satisfied with.
Q. How long have you been in business?
We’ve been printing since 1949.
Q. What is your lead time?
Our standard product lead time is 2-4 business days depending on the product. Most products are shipped within 2 business days.
Q. I’d like to view your pricing. Where is it?
Fill out our Request Pricing form and we’ll call you to give you our pricing and answer any questions you may have. We keep our wholesale pricing confidential to protect our customers who are reselling our printing.
Q. My customers have no idea what they want on their business cards. Do you have any suggestions?
Show them our product catalog. The catalog is a large three ring binder full of more than 100 business card and stationery samples – including samples with thermography, foil stamping, full color and embossing on all our paper stocks. You can purchase our catalog for only $25 (it’s a $50 value). You can also view our online gallery for design ideas and show the gallery to your customers.
Q. Do you offer product catalogs or sales kits?
Yes, we provide you with a catalog for $25 (a $50 value). Our most successful resellers use our catalog to show samples to their customers.
Q. How do I become a Wes-Tex reseller?

Q. I need an exact color for my business card printing. Do you offer PANTONE® ink matching?
Yes, we do offer PANTONE ink matching for most colors except Fluorescent and some metallic PANTONE inks. Please call us if you have a question about color matching.
Q. Do you offer printed proofs?
Yes, for full color products only.
Q. I have an order now! What should I do?

Q. How do I upload more than two files?
If you have more than two files to upload, you will need to compress the files into one with either WinZip for Windows OS or StuffIt for Mac OS. If you do not have either one of these programs, you can obtain them at: www.winzip.com or www.stuffit.com.
Q. What is the correct page size when ordering?
The correct page size is determined by the product. You can download blank templates in our Product Templates and & Dimensions section.
